W. Williams Boilers and Heating are continuously looking for new ways to help support households all over Berkshire and provide top quality boiler installations that meet their requirements. In our latest endeavour to achieve this, we are pleased to announce that W. Williams Boilers and Heating is now OFTEC registered.

It is estimated that currently, around 1.5 million UK homes rely on domestic heating oil. Many of those homes falling in nearby areas such as Henley-on-Thames, Waltham St Lawrence and Hambleden.

What does being “OFTEC registered” mean?

OFTEC stands for the Oil Firing Technical Association. As such the organisation supports businesses providing oil heating.

OFTEC promotes excellence in the oil heating and cooking industry by setting standards for the manufacture, installation and maintenance of oil-fired appliances for the domestic household. They also provide recognised training and assessment of installers through OFTEC-approved centres for training and maintains a register of technicians under their “competent persons scheme” which is licensed by the UK government.

This means that businesses such as us, W. Williams Boilers & Heating, are assessed and recognised by OFTEC to provide quality products and services to households like yours.

Becoming registered with OFTEC also allows us to self-certify our installation work, without the need to have it checked by local authority building control (where applicable).
